The kids and I took a trip to Utah. It worked out great timing! Neil was busy at home working on his proposal defense and didn’t want distractions, my sister Rachel was having knee surgery soon and wanted the kids around to help entertain her while I helped nurse her during her recovery. So we braved the airplane and I took two kids by myself to Utah! We had a lot of fun while we were there!
We were able to visit the Children’s Discovery Museum at the Gateway!
We played with Grandpa and Grandma McKenzie and all of their toys! Kaden especially liked watching Grandpa’s train and Alexis loved playing the piano!
We also got to see and play with many of our McKenzie cousins.
We met Jon’s family at “This is the Place.” Kaden loved riding the horse and petting animals like the chickens, bunny and cows. Kaden went to school and drew a circle and wrote the letter H. But most of all, He LOVED riding the trains! There were train trams to take you around the park and their was a cute little train that went through a tunnel!
Later in the week we met up with Gerald’s family and got to play at their house! Of course, Kaden loved playing with Jayden and Andrew and their GeoTrax train set!
Since our trip to Utah was during April General Conference, we were able to join in the traditional priesthood pizza making! Everyone got to make their own personal pizzas while the older boys, grandpa and my brothers went off to the Priesthood session of conference. Kaden loved making his own pizza and Lexi loved hanging out with her cousins!
Proof that we didn’t just play and we actually took care of Rachel too, Kaden is trying out Rachel’s walker!
